# Chelsea eye former boss as surprise Mourinho replacement

[![Zenit St. Petersburg](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/AVB-.jpeg)](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/AVB-.jpeg)Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are beginning to get fed-up with all the speculation regarding their under-fire manager and want a decision made quickly. However, they’re shocked by the latest reports!

The Blues at the bar have been left speechless after reading [reports from *The Metro* which indicate Andre Villas-Boas is being considered as a potential replacement](https://metro.co.uk/2015/10/29/chelsea-owner-roman-abramovich-lining-up-andre-villas-boas-as-jose-mourinho-replacement-report-5468848/) for the faltering Jose Mourinho.

They recall a disappointing spell under Villas-Boas previously, where Chelsea paid a record £13.2m to release him from his contract with Porto and then sacked him after just nine months- and he also failed to impress in the Premier League with Tottenham Hotspur.

Villas-Boas has improved his reputation with a positive spell in charge of Russian side Zenit St. Petersburg and is [set to leave the club at the end of the season](https://metro.co.uk/2015/10/29/chelsea-owner-roman-abramovich-lining-up-andre-villas-boas-as-jose-mourinho-replacement-report-5468848/), when his current contract expires.

Per the reports, [Villas-Boas is keen to lead Chelsea again](https://metro.co.uk/2015/10/29/chelsea-owner-roman-abramovich-lining-up-andre-villas-boas-as-jose-mourinho-replacement-report-5468848/) but the same can’t be said for the lads at the bar who are growing increasingly concerned with their situation.

**Chelsea fans, does Villas-Boas deserve another chance? Would he be better than Mourinho? Let us know in the comments below!**
