# Chelsea: Fans believe Eden Hazard is not a legend

**Chelsea supporters have [expressed](https://twitter.com/cfcblues_com/status/1189168033589268480?s=12) their views that the former Blues’ favourite Eden Hazard is not a legend at the football club after his [move](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/48548361) to Real Madrid in the summer.**

The Belgian superstar departed Stamford Bridge after seven seasons in London. He arrived from the French outfit Lille for [£32m](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/18324490) and established himself immediately in the Premier League.

Hazard played 352 times for the Blues and scored [110 goals](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/eden-hazard/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/50202) during that time, assisting on [92](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/eden-hazard/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/50202) different occasions.

> Hazard has revealed he and the club both knew he was leaving us for Real Madrid a year before the move.
>
> Hazard still played out of his skin last season, recording 21 goals and 17 assists, carrying us to top 4 and winning the Europa League.

Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar recently [admitted](https://www.besoccer.com/new/neymar-full-of-praise-for-hazard-and-mbappe-658257) that he would love to play in the same attack as Hazard and publicly stated his admiration for the Belgium international.

As one of the biggest names in world football, supporters did not agree that he was an icon at the Blues after he revealed that he knew he would leave the summer before he left for the Spanish capital.

Here you will find some of the best responses from Chelsea fans:

> He never got the legendary status here… He’ll never be a legend

> Hazard was indeed a great player at Chelsea but … but Legends stay and retire at the club. Once you leave when the club still needs your service you become a Traitor . 💙

> He didn’t carry us, he wasn’t the only one playing, yes he was very instrumental but he didn’t carry us + he hardly featured in the Europa league until the later stages. Giroud was the star of Europa league
