# Chelsea: Fans bemoaned early second-half goal for West Ham United

**Chelsea fans were bemoaning West Ham United’s early second-half goal in their defeat to the Hammers.**

Aaron Cresswell struck just three minutes into the second period after cutting inside from the left flank and curling the ball into the far corner past Kepa Arizzabalaga [(via BBC)](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50526606).

The loss was the Blues’ second consecutive defeat in the Premier League, having previously won six games in a row in the English top-flight.

Chelsea have been far from stable at the back this campaign, conceding 20 goals in just 14 league games, the seventh-most in the division [(via Premier League)](https://www.premierleague.com/stats/top/clubs/goals_conceded?se=274).

Manager [Frank Lampard](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50526606) sent out a warning to his players following the loss claiming it was a reality check for them to react quickly.

Fans were unhappy after the early second-half goal from the Irons as they took to Twitter to voice their displeasure.

Here is a selection of tweets from the Stamford Bridge faithful:
