# Chelsea: Fans cannot understand why Wilfried Zaha is a top target for the club

**Loads of Chelsea fans have been left puzzled by their club’s reported interest in Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha.**

According to the [Daily Express](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1225178/Chelsea-transfer-news-Wilfried-Zaha-Crystal-Palace-news-Frank-Lampard-Premier-League), the 27-year-old is one of the Blues’ top transfer targets, though his £80m price tag is proving to be a problem.

For some Chelsea supporters, though, that could be a blessing in disguise as they continue to remain unconvinced by the player.

Upon hearing the news, one fan was quick to suggest that he would struggle in a “top team” just like Ross Barkley has.

Barkley arrived at Stamford Bridge back in 2018, but he has only managed to score [seven](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ross-barkley/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/131978) goals since then. Meanwhile, another supporter made it clear that he would prefer England star Jadon Sancho.

However, with Sky in Germany ([via Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/12691/11903640/jadon-sancho-borussia-dortmund-adamant-england-international-stays-in-january)) reporting that Borussia Dortmund are determined to keep hold of the 19-year-old this month, an imminent move looks unlikely.
