# Chelsea: Fans choose Jorginho as man of the match after his role in Champions League comeback

**Chelsea fans have been picking Jorginho as the man of the match in the stunning Champions League comeback against Ajax last night.**

The midfielder enjoyed a brilliant night at Stamford Bridge as he scored two penalties in the 4-4 draw against the Dutch Champions.

However, the Italian contributed more than just goals to the cause last night, playing the most passes, at the fourth-highest accuracy, of any player for Frank Lampard’s side [(via WhoScored)](https://www.whoscored.com/Matches/1426978/LiveStatistics/Europe-UEFA-Champions-League-2019-2020-Chelsea-Ajax).

His ability to orchestrate from the middle of the pitch was also very apparent as he had [possession of the ball for the most amount of time](https://www.whoscored.com/Matches/1426978/Live/Europe-UEFA-Champions-League-2019-2020-Chelsea-Ajax) for the west London giants.

After a [campaign of struggle under Maurizio Sarri](https://metro.co.uk/2019/03/19/jorginhos-agent-speaks-chelseas-struggles-maurizio-sarri-8943464/) last season, the 27-year-old has gone from strength-to-strength this campaign, already [doubling](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jorginho/leistungsdaten/spieler/102017) his goal tally from last year.

Fans were adamant the [19-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jorginho/leistungsdaten/spieler/102017/plus/0?saison=2018) Italy international deserved the man of the match award after his performance as they took to Twitter to react.

Here is a selection of tweets from the west London faithful:
