# Chelsea: Fans excited about Christian Pulisic after impressive performance against Barcelona

**Chelsea fans had plenty to talk about following their 2-1 win against Barcelona in pre-season, but one player seemingly stood out from amongst the pile.**

Summer arrival Christian Pulisic joined the Blues this transfer window following his announcement as a Chelsea player in January from Borussia Dortmund for a reported £58 million [according to BBC Sport.](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46734487) After spending the remainder of the season at the Bundesliga club and guiding the US to a runners’ up place in the Gold Cup, supporters of the west London side will have been eager to see the American winger against Barcelona.

As well as winning 2-1 against the La Liga giants ([per Chelsea’s official website](https://www.chelseafc.com/en/videos/v/2019/07/23/highlights--chelsea-v-barcelona--n--19-20-54aGw3aTE6uAhM-IU85PBfeTuWa0ffwL)), Pulisic put in a solid shift for the Blues. In fact, according to [Yahoo](https://sports.yahoo.com/pulisic-dazzles-chelsea-beat-barcelona-124002443.html), he dazzled supporters with his quick feet and intelligent dribbling, and fans took to social media to give their first impressions on the 20-year-old attacker.
