# Chelsea: Fans hijacked Gary Cahill’s post after display against Arsenal

**Crystal Palace fought back to secure an impressive 2-2 draw against London rivals Arsenal on Sunday, but some fans from another club in the capital have been chipping in after a social media post from one of their former players.**

Gary Cahill, 33, arrived at Selhurst Park on a [free transfer](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49243425) in the summer window, and the centre-back has nailed down a starting berth in Roy Hodgson’s first-choice XI – starting in his side’s last [eight](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/11981/Show/Gary-Cahill) Premier League matches.

The former Chelsea man, who won two Premier League titles and the Champions League whilst at the club during a seven-year spell, was once again in excellent form on Sunday, as Palace continued their fine start to the season to remain sixth in the Premier League table.

As [pressure](https://www.justarsenal.com/the-pressure-on-unai-emery-is-mounting-he-must-deliver/225953) continues to mount on Unai Emery after yet another disappointing domestic result, these Chelsea fans were certainly singing the praises of Cahill after their former man’s performance against one of their London rivals. Here are some of the best reactions from these Chelsea fans to Cahill’s performance against Arsenal.
