# Chelsea: Fans praise Christian Pulisic for build-up play before Marcos Alonso’s goal

**Christian Pulisic’s career at Chelsea is still yet to really get going.**

The American is still awaiting his first goal for the Blues, but has registered four assists for the club in all competitions (via [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/christian-pulisic/leistungsdaten/spieler/315779)).

The 21-year-old hasn’t seen consistent game-time come easily this term, however, starting only [three](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/christian-pulisic/leistungsdaten/spieler/315779) of Chelsea’s nine Premier League fixtures.

Pulisic was again left on the substitutes’ bench at kick-off on Saturday when Newcastle came to visit Stamford Bridge, but was introduced on the [64th minute](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/christian-pulisic/leistungsdaten/spieler/315779) against the Magpies and had an almost immediate impact.

The former Borussia Dortmund winger picked up the ball on the half-turn, drove towards the penalty area and set up Callum Hudson-Odoi, who proceeded to layoff full-back Marcos Alonso, with the Spaniard [drilling home](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kT9JRIc-gx8) to win the match for the hosts in the 73rd minute.

Plenty of Chelsea fans were impressed with what they saw from Pulisic during his 26-minute cameo on Saturday, with some taking to Twitter to praise the US international, as seen below…
