# Chelsea: Fans react to Ross Barkley’s display against Burnley

**Chelsea returned to winning ways in the Premier League with a comfortable victory over Burnley at Stamford Bridge. Indeed, Goals from Jorginho, Tammy Abraham and Callum Hudson-Odoi were enough to give the Blues the three points and maintain their five-point gap ahead of Manchester United in fifth place after a previously difficult spell.**

Still, as positive as that was, Frank Lampard’s men face a tough run of fixtures as 2020 progresses, facing Arsenal, Leicester, Manchester United, Tottenham and Bayern Munich before the end of February. So far, they haven’t been able to make a signing in the transfer market despite their ban being lifted.

A hectic run of games has tested Lampard’s squad and has perhaps led to a resurgence for Ross Barkley. [Yesterday was his first Premier League appearance since October’s win over Newcastle](https://www.transfermarkt.com/ross-barkley/leistungsdaten/spieler/131978), struggling to beat off competition from the likes of Jorginho, Mateo Kovacic and N’Golo Kante in what is a fairly well-stocked area of the Blues’ squad.

[As per SofaScore, the England international completed 90% of his passes, attempted two dribbles and made a key pass in a solid midfield showing](https://www.sofascore.com/burnley-chelsea/gsN). As a result, Chelsea fans were very pleased with his display in the middle of the park, here’s how some of them reacted:
