# Chelsea: Fans want Wilfried Zaha in return for Olivier Giroud

**Olivier Giroud has seen first-team chances limited this season due to the scintillating form of Tammy Abraham.**

The Frenchman, who joined the Blues from Arsenal in 2018, was influential for the west London outfit last term as they won the Europa League. Giroud finished as the competition’s [leading goalscorer](https://www.worldfootball.net/goalgetter/europa-league-2018-2019/) after finding the net 11 times, and scored in the final as Maurizio Sarri’s men beat Arsenal 4-1 in Baku.

This season, however, Giroud has made just [three Premier League appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/olivier-giroud/profil/spieler/82442) for Chelsea – one coming from the start – with Tammy Abraham and Michy Batshuayi seemingly preferred up front in Frank Lampard’s starting XI.

Indeed, it is understandable to see why, considering Abraham has scored [eight goals](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/top-scorers) this season and is the division’s [joint-top goalscorer](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/top-scorers), while Batshuayi has notched [three goals](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/michy-batshuayi/profil/spieler/179184) himself in all competitions.

Giroud’s lack of action this season has led to transfer speculation linking him with a move away from Stamford Bridge in January, with Blues fans keen to see him go – as some call on the club to acquire Wilfried Zaha in return, as shown by these Tweets below…
