# Chelsea fans were angry about Ruben Loftus-Cheek getting substituted on Thursday

**Chelsea managed to bag their second win in two games in the Europa League on Thursday night, though it wasn’t plain sailing for the Blues. Indeed, Maurizio Sarri’s men struggled against MOL Vidi, with a lack of efficiency going forward proving to be problematic.**

Still, a goal from Alvaro Morata managed to seal the points for the club, and so in the end, Sarri can only be happy with the result. Chelsea fans online, though, are anything but.

Maurizio Sarri opted to give Ruben Loftus-Cheek a rare start in the game, and the Englishman impressed. Displaying many of the characteristics that made him such a hit at Crystal Palace last season, he impressed with his dribbling, pace and passing, and he was important for the club on the night.

When Sarri decided to substitute him, then, it will come as no surprise to learn that many Chelsea fans were very angry indeed. They were evidently very impressed by Loftus-Cheek, and they think he deserved to stay on.
