Jorginho has uploaded a match photo from Chelsea’s friendly against Queens Park Rangers and fans have picked up on something different.
The Italian can be seen in action whilst sporting the captain’s armband, which Blues fans are thrilled to see. It seems to have come as a pleasant surprise to those who have been reading up on reports linking the 28-year-old to a potential move away from London this summer.
Should Chelsea keep or sell Jorginho?
Jorginho joined Chelsea after former manager Maurizio Sarri brought him in from Napoli in 2018 (via Sky Sports). He has since made 91 appearances in blue and has found the back of the net nine times (via Transfermarkt).
Chelsea are currently gearing up for their first top flight match in almost three months as they prepare to hit the road and face Aston Villa. Sunday’s Premier League clash will be Frank Lampard’s chance to continue his and the team’s positive run of form they were in before the league came to a halt.
The Blues are currently fourth in the table but will need to fend off lurking teams like Manchester United who are also trying to edge their way into the top four.
