After Chelsea fought to a 3-1 win at home to Southampton on Saturday, many supporters were critical of winger Callum Hudson-Odoi's performance.

Thomas Tuchel's men were looking to recover from their loss to title rivals Manchester City last weekend and got back to winning ways as they took on the Saints at Stamford Bridge.

It didn't take long for them to find a breakthrough, either, with Trevoh Chalobah burying a diving header at the far post inside the first 10 minutes. Chelsea had their chances to extend the lead, including a disallowed Timo Werner goal, but couldn't take their opportunities as Southampton threatened to spoil the party.

Ben Chilwell hacked down Saints defender Valentino Livramento to award the travelling side a spot kick with James Ward-Prowse going on to level the scoring. Fortunately, Tuchel's side survived the brief scare and rounded off a hard-fought victory courtesy of late strikes from Werner and Chilwell.

However, despite a brilliant afternoon overall, one man who some Chelsea fans weren't impressed with at all was Hudson-Odoi, who arguably had little impact before being hauled off after just 65 minutes.

Taking fewer touches than goalkeeper Edouard Mendy, the 20-year-old also won just two of his nine ground duels and had zero attempts on goal as Chelsea's joint-lowest rated player on SofaScore (6.4).

It's little wonder many Blues fans weren't impressed with the midfielder following his "average" display - check out some of their verdicts below.
