Chelsea considering Mauricio Pochettino

Chelsea are reportedly considering former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino as a potential replacement for Graham Potter.
The Lowdown: Another defeat
The Blues fell to another defeat on Saturday afternoon, with bottom of the table Southampton winning 1-0 at Stamford Bridge.
Potter’s side were booed off at both half-time and full-time and have just one win from ten in 2023. The result leaves Chelsea in tenth on 31 points from 23 Premier League games, and it looks as if a managerial change could materialise.
The Latest: Manager rumours
A Spanish outlet shared a story in the last 48 hours regarding a potential change in the Stamford Bridge dugout.
They said that Potter’s position is in increasing danger and that four coaches are being considered by Todd Boehly. The first of those is Pochettino, who is out of work after leaving Paris Saint-Germain in the summer.

The Verdict: One to watch?
Despite plenty of change on the pitch with a number of marquee signings in January, you would expect more from this current side under Potter, so it doesn’t come as a shock that Chelsea are already eyeing another change.
Pochettino has plenty of experience in the Premier League and in Europe, winning 292 games as a manager. Hailed as ‘excellent’ by Pep Guardiola in the past, the Argentine likes to play an attacking 4-3-3 formation, whereas Potter has mainly used a 4-2-3-1 system in recent weeks.
Therefore, due to his experience at the highest level, you could argue that a move for Pochettino could be a smart one if things don’t improve under Potter. A couple of small tactical tweaks could well see Chelsea shine, so it looks as if Pochettino’s name may well be one to keep an eye on over the coming weeks and months.
