Chelsea will finally have the chance to show off their new signings as they take on Brighton at the Amex Stadium in their first Premier League game of the season tonight.

Fans have already had a taste of what Timo Werner can bring to the side after he bagged a goal against the Seagulls in their pre-season friendly two weeks ago. Frank Lampard will be hoping that the German can recreate this feat as they head into an exciting season.

Chelsea have dominated the transfer window and could be the team to knock Liverpool off their pedestal at the end of the season. A win against Brighton will set them up nicely and potentially foreshadow things to come.

Here's how Transfer Tavern has predicted Lampard to line up tonight...

Werner will undoubtedly lead the line as Chelsea's main threat in attack, backed up by fellow new recruit Kai Havertz. The German midfielder is the latest to join the ranks and has arguably been the most speculated of them all.

Christian Pulisic will likely return to action in a bid to continue his fine form in front of goal. The winger notched a total of 11 goals and 10 assists last season (via Transfermarkt). With Havertz sandwiched between the USA international and Callum Hudson-Odoi, Brighton could seriously struggle to hold back the Blues' attack.

With Mateo Kovacic ruled out due to suspension, N'Golo Kante could be bumped up the starting XI alongside Mason Mount. The Blues will be without Ben Chilwell and Thiago Silva, while Cesar Azpilicueta is also injured, which will more than likely see Reece James step up to the plate in his absence.

Finally, following the rocky relationship between Kepa Arrizabalaga and Lampard, the manager could opt for Willy Caballero in goal instead. The Argentine replaced his teammate at half-time during their friendly at the Amex last month.
