Sky Sports reporter Jamie Weir has claimed that Chelsea's Hakim Ziyech is 'incandescent' after his loan move to Paris Saint-Germain broke down.

The Lowdown: Loan falls apart

According to Sky Sports, PSG claimed Graham Potter's side sent the wrong paperwork after the deal had been agreed.

When the Premier League club finally sent the right documentation, the deadline for transfers had already passed.

This means that Ziyech will remain in west London and not play the remainder of the season with the Ligue 1 outfit.

The Latest: Ziyech left fuming

Weir spoke live on Sky Sports about the transfer fiasco between Chelsea and PSG, claiming the Moroccan was still in Paris and was immensely frustrated that the loan deal didn't go through.

He stated: "He is incandescent that Chelsea did not hold up their end of the bargain. He was in Paris from lunchtime yesterday [Tuesday].

"He was texting Todd Boehly saying, ‘look, get this done, I want to get this over the line’. Paris Saint-Germain were phoning Chelsea, getting no answer, phoning them again, phoning them again.

"Chelsea were sending the wrong forms through, and eventually 11 o'clock came and went and Hakim Ziyech was not registered in time."

The Verdict: Poor Ziyech

We feel extremely sympathetic towards the Chelsea winger, as he's found it hard to get consistent minutes at Stamford Bridge this season in the Premier League. This loan move could've been a great opportunity for him to play more often between now and the end of the season.

Ziyech showed his talents last winter at the World Cup with Morocco, reaching the semi-finals in the process.

Former striker Ian Wright said at the time he was 'loving' what he was seeing from the winger, claiming Ziyech plays with a 'different energy' for the African nation when speaking on the Wrighty's House podcast (via The Mirror).

In our view, Chelsea were perhaps distracted by the Enzo Fernandez deal and that's why the paperwork was not sent through correctly.

If that were to be the case, that's no excuse, the whole situation looks very unprofessional on Chelsea's part and could have repercussions on their relationship with PSG in the future.
