Chelsea summer target Said Benrahma has spoken out about the west London club's interest in him.

Both the Blues and Arsenal have been linked with a move for the Brentford forward, who has been on fire this season. The Algerian is in the top 10 highest scorers in the Championship this term with an astonishing 17 goals and is the second highest for the Bees. Benrahma is behind only Ollie Watkins at Griffin Park, who leads the way with a monumental 25 goals (via BBC Sport).

According to Metro, the winger is 'flattered' to be linked with the Premier League giants and has admitted such interest gives him confidence in his game.

"I was really flattered [to see myself linked with those clubs]," Benrahma commented. "But, at the same time, I am so focused about getting out of the Championship with Brentford that I do not pay too much attention. But it gives me confidence."

The Bees finished third in the Championship after a damaging defeat against Barnsley on the final day meant that West Brom secured the second automatic promotion place. Brentford now face a two-legged play-off semi-final against Swansea City and will hope to make it to the final at Wembley, where they would take on either Fulham or Cardiff City if they get past the Swans.

Chelsea are currently well-stocked in the left-wing position, with Christian Pulisic firing on all cylinders and Callum Hudson-Odoi agreeing new terms in September. However, with Benrahma's £35m price tag and the Blues not hesitating to splash the cash in recent months, a deal could be struck between the two clubs.
