Questions are hanging over Vinicius Junior's future at Real Madrid, with the possibility of a move potentially on the cards.

Spanish outlet AS has reported on several clubs showing interest in the Brazilian, but the last enquiry was made back in November. Indeed, Chelsea are the most recent side to consider a move for the 20-year-old wonder kid (via Sport Witness).

The 13-time Champions League winners tumbled out of this season's competition at the weekend after Manchester City confirmed a 4-2 aggregate win over them at the Etihad. Real Madrid took an early exit, bowing out in the Round of 16.

Zinedine Zidane's side struggled in attack, with Karim Benzema the only goalscorer for the Spanish side in the second leg. Despite having Vinicius on the bench, the winger didn't come on the pitch to try and force a result for Los Blancos.

However, the report claims that the Brazilian isn't concerned about his future and is confident Zidane will give him a chance when the time is right.

Madrid signed Vinicius back in 2018 from Flamengo in a £38.7million move, which broke the record for the highest amount paid for a player under 19 (via BBC Sport). Now valued at £40.5m, he is showing strong signs of becoming a top player in the coming years.

With no talks since November on Chelsea's side, it's unlikely that the Blues are looking to bring Vinicius to Stamford Bridge this summer. What is likely though, is that he will command a large transfer fee, especially still only being 20-years-old.

However, with Willian's departure, Frank Lampard could benefit from bolstering his options on the right wing. Despite the fact that fellow Brazilian Vinicius is primarily a left-winger, he can play on either side and also up front. His versatility would be a strong asset to a Chelsea side looking to challenge for the Premier League title next season.

Madrid's starlet has become accustomed to playing a more fringe role in Spain so playing second-string to Hakim Ziyech would not be a shock to the system for Vinicius.

Chelsea have a hefty transfer budget and are looking to also offload several players in order to fund further signings. Now is the perfect time to invest in a young player on the rise like the Real winger, who may be either too expensive or already at a new club this time next season.
