Chelsea are on the market for a new goalkeeper this summer and have flirted with the idea of bidding for Atletico Madrid's Jan Oblak.

Frank Lampard has made it clear that Kepa Arrizabalaga will not be part of the club's plans moving forward. The Spaniard had a difficult season between the sticks, conceding 54 Premier League goals, the most out of any top 10 side. As a result, the manager has chalked Kepa's name off the board and wants to recruit a replacement as soon as possible.

Oblak has been identified as one of Chelsea's major transfer targets, with Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Nick Pope also appearing on the radar.

The Slovenian shot-stopper – who has the highest Transfermarkt value of anyone in his position worldwide – has finally had his say over the interest coming from west London ahead of Atletico's Champions League clash tonight.

"This is not the time for that, now it’s Leipzig’s turn," Oblak told AS (via Sport Witness). "I do the evaluation of the season when the last game is over and, hopefully, we have three left.

"Then there will be time to talk. But first, Leipzig. I really want to progress [further in the Champions League]."

Atletico Madrid are set to face RB Leipzig tonight at 8pm in the quarter-final of the Champions League. The La Liga side were successful in knocking out reigning champions Liverpool and will now be hoping to advance to a semi-final clash against Paris Saint-Germain.

It will cost a hefty amount for Chelsea to lure Oblak to Stamford Bridge. According to Goal.com, Atletico are not interested in selling their star 'keeper unless the full £110m of his mammoth release clause is met.

Therefore, if the Blues want him, they will need to be prepared to dig quite deep into their transfer budget.
