Sterling Rubbishes Chelsea Issues But Arsenal Link Won't Go Away - Chelsea Transfer Rumours

Chelsea fans certainly took a big boost from the news that the unexpected Roman Abramovich issues were over when Todd Boehly and the Clearlake Capital group confirmed that they had taken over the club in a big money deal – and that certainly was not where the big money ended given how they have spent in the transfer market since then.

Chelsea have seen some very big names, and very big budget talent arrive since the takeover first took place but it has not been a perfect season given the phenomenal expenditure that manager Graham Potter has been graced with.

With Chelsea sitting down in tenth place in the Premier League table, tied on points with inconsistent side Aston Villa, rumours have recently surfaced that former Manchester City and PL title winner, Raheem Sterling, has now begun developing itchy feet at Stamford Bridge, as having departed the Emirates Stadium for a new adventure, he fully expected to still be challenging for silverware – and in fairness, Chelsea are doing pretty much the opposite of that in terms of where it counts. lees dit artikel is probably what a lot of fans are muttering under their breath.

With those rumours and that speculation growing, this week his representatives have taken the step to contact the media to totally refute claims that he is unhappy at the club right now, or that he has ever been unhappy at the club since making the move. They stated that the 28 year old attacking MBE remained fully committed to the club and the plan for growth they have in place, and that he continued to fully embrace that vision under their current gaffer.

It was further implied that Sterling appreciated that given all the upheaval and changes, it would require an element of patience and time for their rebuild to come to fruition where the club would again be a genuine title force and contender, so he simply wanted to be left alone to focus on the remainder of the campaign and their upcoming challenges that would help dictate how successful their season was ultimately viewed.

With Sterling now back and proving his fitness after his recent injury problems, the England international will be determined to prove his worth again to Potter having played minutes in both of their recent February defeats to Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur, and help them get back to winning ways as they host Leeds United in a couple of days time.

For Sterling, he actually has to go back to December 27 for his last involvement in a Chelsea victory, and for a player with his talent, skill and pedigree in the game, that will undoubtedly be something he is looking to quickly rectify – not only for his side, but also for his own personal pride.

For now, at least, transfer rumour mill speculation linking him with a summer move to Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal side should be considered wide of the mark, but given the rumours already exist fans of both sides should expect plenty more to fill the airwaves – especially when you consider Chelsea are going to have to balance the books quickly, and Sterling has not had a great season anyway.
