He was a phenomenal asset for Lionel Scaloni’s team, averaging a higher rate of tackles per 90 than any Argentine player whilst also chipping in with a goal and an assist ([WhoScored](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/346/Show/Argentina-Argentina)).

Called [‘sensational’](https://twitter.com/msmith850/status/1596607100615938049)by reporter Matt Smith, signing the 21-year-old could seriously strengthen Potter’s options at Chelsea, but it appears that Benfica are [set to play hardball](https://twitter.com/AlbicelesteTalk/status/1605936116363939843) over a transfer next month.
