# Chelsea man seeking exit though it could lead to good transfer news for fans

**Following Diego Costa’s [bombshell](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/40197827) yesterday, the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are hopeful that means the club have something up their sleeve this summer.**

With Romelu Lukaku [strongly touted](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/3737251/everton-romelu-lukaku-agrees-terms-new-club-chelsea/)for a return to Stamford Bridge, talk amongst the Blues in the bar is rife in regards to the complexion of their frontline next season.

Which is why a story from *[Bleacher Report](https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2713934-inside-football-everton-wont-sell-chelsea-target-monaco-wait-on-batshuayi)* has proved so interesting for our punters. Within their comprehensive ‘Inside Football’ column, they [suggest](https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2713934-inside-football-everton-wont-sell-chelsea-target-monaco-wait-on-batshuayi) another Chelsea marksman could be on the way out of the club this summer.

Michy Batshuayi is [reportedly](https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2713934-inside-football-everton-wont-sell-chelsea-target-monaco-wait-on-batshuayi) keen to find a new club in order to secure first-team football, despite his popularity amongst our west London locals. Indeed, the Belgian largely operated behind Costa last term and the potential arrival of Lukaku would surely only see that trend continue next season.

With that in mind, the former Marseille man is [reportedly](https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2713934-inside-football-everton-wont-sell-chelsea-target-monaco-wait-on-batshuayi) eager to move on and Ligue 1 champions Monaco are said to be interested. In fact, the Blues’ [reported interest](https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2713934-inside-football-everton-wont-sell-chelsea-target-monaco-wait-on-batshuayi) in their star midfielder, Tiemoué Bakayoko, could [apparently](https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2713934-inside-football-everton-wont-sell-chelsea-target-monaco-wait-on-batshuayi) help push a deal through.

Indeed, many of our locals believe Batshuayi’s potential exit helping bring in the aforementioned French midfielder would actually be a good thing.

Few would doubt the popularity the Belgian international has amongst the Chelsea fans – he even scored the goal that won them the Premier League title – though it seems his time in SW6 could well be up.

To be fair, it’s hard not to blame him.

**Thoughts?**
