# Chelsea ‘in talks’ to sell 20-year-old forward to Napoli in cut price deal

Chelsea’s attacking department has undergone another major reshuffle this summer, with Joao Pedro and Danny Welbeck now looking like the leading options up front.

Liam Delap has moved to Nottingham Forest, while Nicolas Jackson is heading to Aston Villa, creating room for further changes.

Now, another young forward appears to be edging towards the exit door.

## **Chelsea In Talks to Sell Guiu**

Chelsea are in negotiations with Napoli over a deal for Marc Guiu, with the Italian club pushing to make the 20-year-old their final addition of the summer.

According to Fabrizio Romano, [per Tribuna](https://tribuna.com/en/news/2026-08-27-napoli-close-in-on-chelsea-striker-marc-guiu-as-personal-terms-near-agreement/), talks between the two clubs remain active, while Guiu has made Napoli his preferred destination ahead of interest from elsewhere in Spain.

Personal terms are reportedly close to being agreed, with Napoli keen to add another striker following Romelu Lukaku’s departure.

The two clubs are discussing a fee above €15 million, although Chelsea are believed to want closer to €25 million and are also pushing for a sell-on percentage to be included.

Guiu made 10 Premier League appearances for Chelsea last season, registering one assist, while also getting on the scoresheet in the Champions League. He joined the Blues from Barcelona in 2024 and has continued to attract attention despite limited opportunities.

For Napoli, the move would also provide a squad-registration advantage, with Guiu’s 2006 birth year allowing him to occupy a different category under Serie A’s roster rules.

With Chelsea continuing to trim an overloaded squad and Napoli eager to finish their summer business, Guiu’s next move could now be approaching quickly.
