![Griezmann](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/Griezmann-500x318.jpg)The Chelsea fans here in the Transfer Tavern have been a miserable this season with their team surrendering their Premier League title with nothing more than a whimper.

The Blues will not even finish in a European place in the league this season and incoming boss Antonio Conte looks set to have a big summer ahead of him, as he looks to get the best out of a squad which is mightily low on confidence.

A string of new signings look set to arrive at Stamford Bridge and[The Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/chelsea-step-up-antoine-griezmann-7783817) have reported that Antoine Griezmann is a high priority target for the summer.

The 25-year-old has netted 29 goals this season for Atletico Madrid and Chelsea are now preparing to make a big money bid for the Frenchman in the close season.

One Chelsea fan is tucking into his burger and a pint meal deal here in the Tavern and he thinks that Griezmann would be perfect for the Blues, stating that he hopes a deal can be concluded as the club look to beat their rivals to his signature.

**Chelsea fans, what do you make to this news? Can he be a big player for you?**
