# Chelsea rocked as Inter Milan pip Conte to €25m striker

**Despite having a relatively low profile in this country, the name Gabriel Barbosa has been bandied about the Transfer Tavern a lot in recent weeks.**

Chelsea fans in particular have been scouring the net for information of the 19-year old Brazilian forward, following [reports](https://esporte.uol.com.br/futebol/ultimas-noticias/2016/07/13/juventus-oferece-r-30-milhoes-a-mais-que-chelsea-e-seduz-gabigol-e-santos.htm) claiming their club had a made a [€30m](https://esporte.uol.com.br/futebol/ultimas-noticias/2016/07/13/juventus-oferece-r-30-milhoes-a-mais-que-chelsea-e-seduz-gabigol-e-santos.htm) bid for the Santos starlet.

However, much like the Neymar situation a few years ago, the Blues now look likely to miss out on the Samba star.

According to Spanish outlet *[Sport](https://www.sport-english.com/en/news/barca/barca-target-gabigol-set-join-inter-milan-for-million-euros-5302777),* Serie A giants Inter Milan are expected to sign to the forward upon his return to domestic duty after the Olympics.

The *Nerazzurri* are [believed](https://www.sport-english.com/en/news/barca/barca-target-gabigol-set-join-inter-milan-for-million-euros-5302777) to be offering a straight [€25m](https://www.sport-english.com/en/news/barca/barca-target-gabigol-set-join-inter-milan-for-million-euros-5302777) fee for the highly rated *Selecao* hopeful, while being prepared to pay him a lucrative [€3m](https://www.sport-english.com/en/news/barca/barca-target-gabigol-set-join-inter-milan-for-million-euros-5302777)-per-year to move to the San Siro.

One of the brightest talents in world football, Barcelona are also [thought](https://www.sport-english.com/en/news/barca/barca-target-gabigol-set-join-inter-milan-for-million-euros-5302777) to be interested, though could prove to be unwilling to compete financially.
