# Chelsea set to offload highly-rated striker this week

![Bamford](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/Bamford-500x376.jpg?admin)The Chelsea supporting punters here in the Transfer Tavern are somewhat perplexed this afternoon, with reports of a swift exit for a developing star.

[*West London Sport*](https://www.westlondonsport.com/features-comment/football-wls-gossip-chelsea-reportedly-want-bamford-clause-as-norwich-middlesbrough-and-hull-are-linked-with-striker)[state](https://www.westlondonsport.com/features-comment/football-wls-gossip-chelsea-reportedly-want-bamford-clause-as-norwich-middlesbrough-and-hull-are-linked-with-striker)Chelsea youngster Patrick Bamford has a choice between three clubs as he looks to secure a move away from Stamford Bridge, with Middlesbrough, Hull City and Norwich City all vying for his signature.

The ex-Nottingham Forest trainee hasn’t been given a chance in the first-team yet and fans fear they may regret letting the striker leave, with Bamford making an impression on-loan at Middlesbrough last season.

One punter, who likes all variants of football, is having a cheeky afternoon cocktail when he spies that the Blues are happy to sell the youngster, although they will look to [include a buy-back clause in any permanent deal](https://www.westlondonsport.com/features-comment/football-wls-gossip-chelsea-reportedly-want-bamford-clause-as-norwich-middlesbrough-and-hull-are-linked-with-striker) they opt to take.

The type of deal is very common on the continent and one Blues fan who is chatting to the landlord thinks it would be a very shrewd move for Chelsea to pull off.
