# Chelsea pulling out all the stops to land Bonucci

**Though he’s not been as lamented as he was last year, the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern don’t quite know what to make of Eden Hazard.**

Magnificent during the season Jose Mourinho delivered a first Premier League title in half a decade to Stamford Bridge, the Belgian has since struggled.

So, reports from [the Sun](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/1932510/chelsea-transfer-news-antonio-conte-to-sell-eden-hazard-in-exchange-for-leonardo-bonucci/) have divided opinion amongst the Blues propping up the bar.

They [claim](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/1932510/chelsea-transfer-news-antonio-conte-to-sell-eden-hazard-in-exchange-for-leonardo-bonucci/) the west London giants are prepared to offer the 25-year-old plus a raft load of cash in order to land Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci.

With defensive frailty so prevalent at the club, the stoic Italian centre-back is [believed](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/1932510/chelsea-transfer-news-antonio-conte-to-sell-eden-hazard-in-exchange-for-leonardo-bonucci/) to be Antonio Conte’s No.1 priority.

Having worked with the 29-year-old at both international and club level, the former *Azzurri* boss is [understood](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/1932510/chelsea-transfer-news-antonio-conte-to-sell-eden-hazard-in-exchange-for-leonardo-bonucci/) to be happy to offer Hazard in exchange.

The Old Lady, however, are [thought](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/1932510/chelsea-transfer-news-antonio-conte-to-sell-eden-hazard-in-exchange-for-leonardo-bonucci/) to favour Cesc Fabregas over the ex-Lille ace and would [reportedly](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/1932510/chelsea-transfer-news-antonio-conte-to-sell-eden-hazard-in-exchange-for-leonardo-bonucci/) rather he was sent to Turin as part of any deal.
