# Club open talks with international, Liverpool fans should be sweating

**Having secured qualification for the Champions League, the Liverpool fans propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern are excited about the summer.**

Many of the local Kopites are expecting a major summer spend as Jurgen Klopp looks to improve his ranks, though reports from the [Scottish Sun](https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/1050440/sporting-lisbon-ready-to-battle-liverpool-for-8million-scotland-and-hull-city-full-back-andrew-robertson/) have dampened expectations somewhat.

They [claim](https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/1050440/sporting-lisbon-ready-to-battle-liverpool-for-8million-scotland-and-hull-city-full-back-andrew-robertson/) the Reds could face big competition from Sporting Lisbon as they attempt to land Hull City Andrew Robertson. The Scotsman has [previously been touted](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/liverpool-clinch-andrew-robertson-transfer-10415515) as a target on Merseyside, with left-back proving such a problem area over the last few years.

Indeed, the Portuguese giants are [understood](https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/1050440/sporting-lisbon-ready-to-battle-liverpool-for-8million-scotland-and-hull-city-full-back-andrew-robertson/) to have already made contact with 23-year-old about the notion of a move from Humberside.

Still, with only James Milner and the awful Alberto Moreno at left-back, many of our resident Reds are hoping Robertson signs on the dotted line soon.
