# ‘Come back home’ – Man United fans demand forward deal after Mou comments

**Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez was a popular player among Manchester United fans during his spell at the club and we still even to this day occasionally catch a fan or two watching videos of that ‘back header’ goal vs. Stoke.**

So, Jose Mourinho’s recent revelation to BBC Sport’s Gary Lineker that he would not have sold the Mexican striker when the club elected to if he were in charge have got tongues wagging here.

> Would Mourinho have sold Di Maria, Chicharito & Welbeck? NEVER!

Indeed, many believe that letting ‘Chicharito’ leave was a mistake and the player’s own acknowledgment of Mourinho’s words – he ‘liked’ the tweet regarding the story – has fuelled talk among punters here about getting the player back to the club from Bayer Leverkusen.

There are, of course, all sorts of obstacles such as actually getting a deal to go through, but Man United supporters on Twitter are calling for the Manchester giants to pursue their former forward this summer to set up what would be an emotional reunion…

> Mourinho perhaps opening a door here. All 3 players made scapegoats by LVG. Chicharito is the one I would love to have back at [#MUFC](https://twitter.com/hashtag/MUFC?src=hash) [https://t.co/nkzvfcLxaw](https://t.co/nkzvfcLxaw)
