# Contract limbo could lead to this Tottenham deal this summer

**As wonderful a squad Mauricio Pochettino has at his disposal, there’s one transfer conundrum constantly debated amongst our drinkers.**

Around the bar of the Transfer Tavern, you’ll often find the Spurs fans discussing exactly how the club should approach the rather difficult notion of bringing in a support striker.

Clearly, Harry Kane is the master marksman in north London and splashing big money on a big name to solely act in rotation of the England international is not a feasible idea.

Vincent Janssen’s struggles this term are well-documented, so [recent links](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4426752/Tottenham-Hotspur-tempt-Burnley-Andre-Gray-bid.html) with Burnley forward Andre Gray proved rather popular indeed. The 25-year-old would be a good squad option in support, as well as adding another palpable goal threat at Premier League level.

So, reports from the [Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4498944/Burnley-striker-Andre-Gray-leave-club-summer.html) suggesting the Clarets could indeed cash in on the ex-Brentford star have gone down a storm. With just 12 months left on his deal at Turf Moor, a new offer is not [thought](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4498944/Burnley-striker-Andre-Gray-leave-club-summer.html) to have been made.

With that in mind, our local Spurs fans are hoping he arrives over the course of the summer window.

**Thoughts?**
