# Liverpool: Fans react to news on Philippe Coutinho

**It remains unclear where former Liverpool player Philippe Coutinho will end up.**

As it stands, he is still on the books of Barcelona, but he has spent this campaign on loan with Bundesliga side Bayern Munich. The Bavarians, though, are said to [not be interested](https://www.bild.de/bild-plus/sport/fussball/fussball/fc-bayern-transfer-strategie-was-passiert-mit-coutinho-67469958,view=conversionToLogin.bild.html#fromWall) in making his move permanent, which has led to plenty of speculation about a return to the Premier League.

Chelsea [appear to be the current front-runners](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11668/11976926/philippe-coutinho-chelsea-offered-chance-to-sign-brazilian-by-barcelona) in the race to sign him, whilst [Everton](https://www.sport.es/es/noticias/barca/leicester-everton-suman-puja-por-coutinho-7937036) have also been linked with a move. However, according to Spanish outlet Sport ([via Sport Witness](https://sportwitness.co.uk/liverpool-reject-chance-sign-coutinho-barcelona-transfer-klopp/)), the 27-year-old is said to have called the Reds in an attempt to force through a return to Anfield, but his pleas were met with a strong no.
