Bundesliga duo Werder Bremen and Borussia Monchengladbach are keen to make a move for Coventry City target Jonathan Panzo, according to a report shared by Coventry LIVE.
Sky Blues boss Mark Robins has already made wholesale improvements to his side after gaining promotion from League One to the Championship.
Further to those arrivals, Panzo has now emerged as a potential sixth arrival but a battle with Werder Bremen and Borussia Monchengladbach could now decide the defender’s future.
Valued at £2.4m by Transfermarkt, Panzo is uncertain of his future with French side Monaco, having spent last season on loan with Belgian club Cercle Brugge.
With Coventry being linked to the 19-year-old, a fresh report has claimed that the Sky Blues face stiff competition, whilst a previous report claimed the French club could still offer him a future.
Panzo would be a great addition to Coventry, indeed he has represented England at all levels from under-16’s to under-21’s and was part of the under-17 World Cup winning team. But the reported interest from Germany will test the Championship club’s ambition and strength in the transfer market.
Robins has made superb improvements to his side already this summer and if he can add Panzo, then Coventry would be more than ready for the 2020/21 season.
