PEC Zwolle midfielder Gustavo Hamer will undergo a medical at Coventry City next month, according to Coventry Live.
Sky Blues boss Mark Robins will look to add some new faces to his squad this summer after gaining a successful promotion from League One to the Championship.
And, one of those players could be Hamer, who has been impressing in the Dutch Eredivisie over the last 12 months.
The young midfielder, 22, plays in the defensive midfield area of Zwolle’s side and racked up 25 appearances before the Dutch season was curtailed due to the pandemic.
The Dutch under-20 international, who was born in Brazil, is now said to be set to arrive in England ‘next month’ with a medical planned with the Sky Blues.
Included in the report from Coventry LIVE, a transfer fee of €1.5 million (£1.36m) has been reported, whilst also mentioning the future of Aston Villa’s Callum O’Hare, who looks set to join the club on a free transfer.
Hamer started his career with Dutch giants Feyenoord before going to play for FC Dordrecht and currently, PEC Zwolle.
This type of transfer will certainly impress Coventry fans, who will still be celebrating the club’s promotion to the Championship.
Hamer, who made impressions with former club Feyenoord, will undoubtedly relish the chance at playing in the Championship and his four goals and six assists this term, make him a potentially important signing.
