The Sky Blues ensured promotion to the Championship from League One after the season was ended via a points-per-game system, ultimately seeing them gain automatic promotion.
Preparing for a stint in England’s second tier, Robins has already sought to add extra depth to his current squad by agreeing deals for Hamer and Dacosta, who signed from PEC Zwolle and Chamois Niortais, respectively.
Both are defensive signings but it is now being reported that Coventry will look to add to their current attacking options of Matt Godden, Maxime Biamou and Amadou Bakayoko.
Out of those aforementioned attacking players at Coventry, only Godden has had a spell in the Championship during his career, featuring for Scunthorpe United during his formative football years.
One of those potential attacking options to come in is Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Renat Dadashov, who has also been linked with a move to Birmingham City. The 21-year-old Azerbaijan international is yet to make an appearance for his parent club since moving to Molineux in 2019.
It is refreshing to see that Coventry have already made a couple of new additions ahead of their tilt at the Championship and are determined not to stop there by any stretch.
Robins has done excellently to get the Sky Blues back up to the second tier and his double signing of Hamer and Dacosta is already an impressive start to the transfer window this summer. He may still need to bolster his attacking options, though, and it will be interesting to see who Robins can sign that will get them enough goals to prosper in the Championship next term.
