# Crystal Palace: Alan Nixon provides transfer update on Ismaila Sarr

**Crystal Palace have been linked to Watford winger Ismaila Sarr this [transfer window](https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/crystal-palace-set-to-make-move-for-watford-ace-on-one-condition/) and in the [summer window](https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/18796629.watford-yet-receive-ismaila-sarr-offer-crystal-palace/), and Alan Nixon has provided an update on this possible transfer.**

### The latest on Sarr

The journalist for The Sun was asked whether the Eagles will make a move for the winger in January and he [replied:](https://twitter.com/reluctantnicko/status/1354026321085607937?s=20) “It’s an odd one. The last offer was as much as they wanted to pay. There’s nobody else in. Hear talk of waiting until summer … but that opens door for others to join in the bidding. Amazed me he’s not had a bigger offer.”

### Would this be a good signing?

The 22 year-old Senegalese attacker signed for Watford in [August 2019](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ismaila-sarr/transfers/spieler/410225), and impressed as he made 28 Premier League appearances last season. He managed five goals and four assists, ([WhoScored)](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/322670/Show/Ismaila-Sarr), and also managed 1.6 shots and 1.7 successful dribbles per game.

To hit the ground running in England at such a young age makes him look like a special player and suggests that he has a lot of potential. In the Championship this season, he has managed five goals, two assists and looked a threat as he has managed 2.1 shots and 2.2 successful dribbles per game ([WhoScored).](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/322670/Show/Ismaila-Sarr)

Liverpool superstar Sadio Mane hailed Sarr when his compatriot signed for Watford, [saying:](https://www.90min.com/posts/6439456-sadio-mane-heaps-praise-on-deadly-ismaila-sarr-following-his-move-to-watford) “I’m really happy for him and he made the right choice to come to Watford. For sure I think he will be great.”

The Eagles have only [won one](https://www.skysports.com/crystal-palace-results) in their last ten games, and there is clearly a creative spark lacking despite the quality that players such as Eberechi Eze and Wilfried Zaha possess. Sarr would seem like a very good acquisition as he adds more strength to the attack, and is very young with bags of potential.
