# Crystal Palace: Club reportedly make a move for Kouame

**The latest reports suggest that Crystal Palace are finally making a move to sign transfer target Christian Kouame.**

### The latest on Kouame

According to [La Nazione,](https://www.lanazione.it/) via [Sports Witness](https://sportwitness.co.uk/crystal-palace-moved-signing/), Crystal Palace ‘have moved’ for the player this month, along with Marseille and Eintracht Frankfurt.

### Would this be a good signing?

There has been tonnes of speculation surrounding the Ivorian, and he was close to a move to the South London side in [2020](https://sportwitness.co.uk/crystal-palace-moved-signing/) but he suffered a serious knee injury.

With him back playing again, it looks like Palace would like to bring him to the club, and he has been [linked](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/crystal-palace-transfer-rumours/crystal-palace-fans-react-as-the-club-reignite-interest-in-christian-kouame/) for the last few weeks. The fact the reports now say that the Eagles ‘have moved’ for the player suggests that this pursuit has sped up.

The 24-year-old currently plays in the Serie A. He has a decent – albeit hardly prolific – record across his career so far as he has 33 goals and 29 assists in 196 appearances ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/christian-kouame/profil/spieler/337725)).

This season hasn’t been great for the £12.6m-valued ace. He has only managed one goal in 16 league appearances ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/christian-kouame/profil/spieler/337725)). The player has clearly been inconsistent throughout this campaign as he has only started in five of these games, which is also perhaps why he could be on the move.
