# Crystal Palace: Fans react to reports linking them with Cengiz Ünder

**Crystal Palace are starting to struggle in the Premier League as they have only won [one](https://www.cpfc.co.uk/matches/fixtures/) of their last four games, and have [conceded](https://www.cpfc.co.uk/matches/fixtures/) seven goals in their last three losses whilst not scoring.**

Many supporters want new players in the summer, and a lot of the fan base are reacting to the latest news from [Haberler via Hurriyet](https://www.hurriyet.com.tr/sporarena/selim-gaygusuz-crystal-palace-cengiz-underi-transfer-etmek-istiyor-41552253) as the media outlet is reporting that the Eagles want to sign Cengiz Under.

The 22 year-old [Turkish internationa](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/cengiz-under/profil/spieler/341647)l can play in an attacking midfield role or on the wing and younger players is exactly what Palace need as they are on average the [second oldest squad](https://www.101greatgoals.com/news/average-age-of-premier-league-squads-arsenal-youngest-liverpool-oldest-of-top-6/) in the league.

Under has made 23 appearances in all competitions for Roma this term, scoring four goals, but the signs of attacking intent are there as he has managed on average 1.5 shots, 1.5 key passes and 1.8 successful dribbles per game, via [WhoScored.](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/255071/Show/Cengiz-%C3%9Cnder)

His key passes ranks higher than any player in Roy Hodgson’s squad, with Patrick Van Aanholt managing 1.1 per Premier League match, via [WhoScored](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/162/Show/England-Crystal-Palace). This highlights that Under is perhaps the exact type of attacker Palace need behind the forwards and he ticks many boxes for the club, as he is young, has experience at a good level with Roma and seems to have a creative eye, something they desperately need having scored just [28 league goals](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/table) so far this term.

Here is how some fans reacted to the news, with opinion seemingly split. Some fans aren’t too keen, perhaps due to his below-par goalscoring record this season, whilst others would like to see him come through the door.
