# Crystal Palace: Fans fearing the worst as Manchester City target Vicente Guaita

**Some Crystal Palace fans are starting to fear the worst amid reported interest in their goalkeeper Vicente Guaita.**

According to AS ([via Sport Witness](https://sportwitness.co.uk/man-city-make-approach-sign-crystal-palace-player-west-ham-interested/)), Manchester City have made an approach for the 32-year-old as they look for cover for Ederson in case Claudio Bravo leaves the Etihad.

Guaita has been in stunning form for the Eagles this season, keeping [six clean sheets](https://www.premierleague.com/stats/top/players/clean_sheet) in the Premier League. Considering that, it is no surprise that some supporters do not want to see the Spaniard leave Selhurst Park anytime soon.

Palace’s defence as a whole has been solid this term. In 18 Premier League games, they have conceded just 20 goals. Only Liverpool, Leicester City and Sheffield United have conceded less ([via WhoScored](https://www.whoscored.com/Regions/252/Tournaments/2/England-Premier-League)).

Losing Guaita, who has been a part of that, could have some serious ramifications for Roy Hodgson’s men.

Take a look at what Palace fans are saying about the speculation below…

> I would be devastated if we lost Guaita! But on the flip side nice to see his hard work generating interest he’s a brilliant keeper.
