**Many Crystal Palace fans have been taking to Twitter after [the club shared](https://twitter.com/CPFC/status/1416713719191642114) a warm birthday message to chairman and part-owner Steve Parish, who [turns 56 today](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/steve-parish/profil/trainer/15845).**

Joining the Eagles in 2010, the Lewisham-born investor has been a key factor in the success at Selhurst Park in recent seasons.

Saving the club from liquidation 11 years ago with his consortium [CPFC 2010](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2010/jun/01/crystal-palace-saved-liquidation-cpfc-2010) just after the south Londoners had bravely staved off relegation to League One on the last day of the [2009/10 season](https://lastwordonsports.com/2014/12/05/on-the-brink-crystal-palace-200910/), few could have predicted that he would currently be involved in a reputable and stable Premier League club today.
