# Crystal Palace: Fans fume at Cheikhou Kouyate links

**Turkish side Trabzonspor have made an official offer for Crystal Palace defender Cheikhou Kouyate, according to sports presenter [Yagiz Sabuncuoglu](https://twitter.com/yagosabuncuoglu/status/1418629622070185990).**

And a number of Eagles supporters have been reacting to the news on social media.

Kouyate, who has been with Palace since [2018](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/cheikhou-kouyate/profil/spieler/66934), still has [12 months left](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/cheikhou-kouyate/profil/spieler/66934) on his Selhurst Park deal.

He made [35](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/cheikhou-kouyate/leistungsdaten/spieler/66934/plus/0?saison=2020) Premier League starts last season, establishing himself as a regular under Roy Hodgson.

The [Senegal international](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/cheikhou-kouyate/profil/spieler/66934) has now made over [100](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/cheikhou-kouyate/leistungsdaten/spieler/66934/plus/0?saison=2020) appearances for Palace and is capable of offering new manager Patrick Vieira an option in a [holding midfield role](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/cheikhou-kouyate/leistungsdaten/spieler/66934/plus/0?saison=2020) as well as at centre-back.

[Sabuncuoglu](https://twitter.com/yagosabuncuoglu/status/1418629622070185990), who has over 450,000 followers on Twitter, posted the exit rumour online on Friday evening. He didn’t say how much a bid was worth, however, it certainly had a number of Palace fans talking.
