# Crystal Palace: Fans laud Jairo Riedewald after Arsenal display

**Loads of Crystal Palace fans have been lauding Jairo Riedewald for his performance against Arsenal as the Eagles managed to secure a 1-1 draw.**

Roy Hodgson’s men found themselves 1-0 down in the [12th](https://www.premierleague.com/match/46818) minute after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who was later sent off following a VAR review, found the back of the net. Jordan Ayew equalised for the home side in the second half with the help of a massive deflection from David Luiz.

Since then, Riedewald has come in for huge praise, with Palace’s [official Twitter account](https://twitter.com/CPFC/status/1216006527972147202?s=20) highlighting just some of his brilliant stats from the game. According to them, the 23-year-old completed three tackles, won two interceptions and made four clearances. Without a doubt, it was a strong defensive display.

The Eagles as a whole have been solid this season, conceding just [24](https://www.premierleague.com/tables) goals in 22 games. If they can maintain this level of solidity at the back, then the ninth-placed side have a good chance of finishing the campaign in the top half of the table.

Have a look at what some Palace supporters had to say about Riedewald’s latest outing below…
