# Crystal Palace: Fans react as Ozan Kabak is linked to the club

**Many Crystal Palace fans are reacting to the news that the South London side are interested in Bundesliga defender Ozan Kabak.**

According to [The Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/index.html) and tweeted out by [@cpfc\_xtra](https://twitter.com/cpfc_xtra/status/1345438612305936384?s=20), Palace have joined the list of clubs to have enquired about Schalke centre-back Kabak. Manchester United, Leicester City and RB Leipzig are also all monitoring developments with the Turk, who is said to be available for around £25million.

With the likes of Gary Cahill, Scott Dann, James Tomkins, Mamadou Sakho and Cheikhou Kouyaté all [30-years-old or older](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/crystal-palace/startseite/verein/873), there needs to be some new blood at the back. Many fans of the club were clearly very excited by these rumours, with one calling him a ‘beast’.

Kabak is only 20, and has already played six times for Turkey and 34 times in the Bundesliga [(Transfermarkt).](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ozan-kabak/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/361260/verein/33) Therefore this could be a great acquisition for Palace as he looks to have the potential to become a strong experienced top division defender.
