# Crystal Palace: Fans react as the club are linked with Brandon Kavanagh

**Many Crystal Palace fans are reacting to the news that the South London side are interested in Irishman Brandon Kavanagh.**

According to [Independent.ie](https://www.independent.ie/sport/soccer/league-of-ireland/shamrock-rovers-starlet-brandon-kavanagh-on-crystal-palace-radar-39869584.html), and tweeted out by [@cpfc\_xtra](https://twitter.com/cpfc_xtra/status/1339259358631370757?s=20), Palace are taking a look at the midfielder, who currently plays for Shamrock Rovers. The Eagles are clearly quite keen to acquire him as they have given the [20-year-old](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/brandon-kavanagh/profil/spieler/469065) the opportunity to do some training with the club.

Looking at his contributions for the Irish club this season, the 20 year-old clearly looks to be a promising youngster who can make the jump into a league with more quality. He has played 16 times in the division this season, scoring nine goals and picking up one assist ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/brandon-kavanagh/profil/spieler/469065)).

It would be a very interesting signing, the player is obviously unproven but with the Eagles having quite an [old squad](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/crystal-palace/startseite/verein/873), it is not surprising to see these type of transfer rumours come to light.
