# Crystal Palace: Fans react as Wilfried Zaha is fit to play West Bromwich Albion

**Many Crystal Palace fans are over the moon as Roy Hodgson declared Wilfried Zaha fit to face West Bromwich Albion.**

Speaking in his press conference, the manager [said](https://twitter.com/CPFC/status/1334845745539649537?s=20): “Wilf was very disappointed to miss the last two games but he’s been with us all week and is ready to go.”

Clearly, Zaha’s teammates know full well how important the wing wizard is to their chances of scoring goals and winning matches, as Cheikhou Kouyate has previously drooled over his ability, [saying](https://www.besoccer.com/new/zaha-is-an-amazing-player-502809): “We know Wilf is an amazing player, a very, very good player… He’s very important for us.”

Last season in the Premier League, the winger had a subdued campaign as he only managed four goals and three assists [(WhoScored)](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/85059/Show/Wilfried-Zaha). However, this time around, Zaha already has [five goals and two assists](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/85059/Show/Wilfried-Zaha) to his name. He is also averaging 2.3 shots and 1.6 key passes per game. These figures highlight how crucial he is to Roy Hodgson’s side and just how good he can be when at his best.

With the Baggies coming off a crucial victory last week against Sheffield United they will be full of confidence, so it’s no surprise to see Zaha’s return celebrated so much by the Selhurst faithful.

### Here is what Palace fans said following this update on Zaha:

> With Wilf returning, we should run riot against West Brom with the right team selection.
