# Crystal Palace: Fans react as Wilfried Zaha receives Team of the Week recognition

**Many Crystal Palace fans are loving the fact that Wilfried Zaha’s performance against West Bromwich Albion did not go unnoticed as he received [another Team of the Week](https://twitter.com/CPFC/status/1336732443898888193?s=20) upgrade from FIFA 21.**

Zaha was on fire against the Baggies as he scored [two goals](https://www.sofascore.com/west-bromwich-albion-crystal-palace/hi) and picked up a [9.0 rating](https://www.sofascore.com/west-bromwich-albion-crystal-palace/hi) in their [5-1](https://www.sofascore.com/west-bromwich-albion-crystal-palace/hi) victory. These three points helps them sit eleventh in the Premier League as things stand ([SofaScore](https://www.sofascore.com/tournament/football/england/premier-league/17)).

Roy Hodgson has praised him a lot this season, [saying](https://www.football365.com/news/wilfried-zaha-deserves-praise-excellent-crystal-palace-roy-hodgson) after the earlier victory against Fulham: ‘He’s an excellent player,’ drooling over the display against the Cottagers in which Zaha scored the decisive second goal in a 2-1 win.

There is no doubting the quality of the Ivorian, and he is in the form of his life as he has managed [seven goals and two assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/wilfried-zaha/profil/spieler/145988) in his [nine](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/wilfried-zaha/profil/spieler/145988) Premier League appearances this campaign.

The fact that the two games against Newcastle and Burnley which Zaha missed due to having [COVID-19](https://londonnewsonline.co.uk/wilfried-zaha-tested-positive-for-coronavirus-closer-to-the-start-of-last-week-reveals-roy-hodgson-as-crystal-palace-forward-faces-race-to-play-against-newcastle-on-friday/) saw the South London team [lose both games](https://www.cpfc.co.uk/matches/fixtures/) emphasises how crucial he is to the side too, and it’s no surprise to see the Selhurst Park faithful drooling over their talisman in response to his FIFA upgrade.
