**Arsenal are thought to be keeping tabs on Crystal Palace left-back Tyrick Mitchell, according to [The Athletic](https://theathletic.com/2619066/2021/05/29/arsenal-transfers-odegaard-buendia-tapsoba-chambers-contract/).**

And, as to be expected, the transfer links has had a number of Eagles fans talking on social media.

[The Athletic](https://theathletic.com/2619066/2021/05/29/arsenal-transfers-odegaard-buendia-tapsoba-chambers-contract/) ran a piece on Saturday, looking at the Gunners’ transfer plans for the summer.

It is thought a left-back to challenge Kieran Tierney is high up on their list, with Mitchell and Hibernian’s Josh Doig two names mentioned.

Arsenal have [reportedly](https://theathletic.com/2619066/2021/05/29/arsenal-transfers-odegaard-buendia-tapsoba-chambers-contract/) watched both players in action, however, Mitchell and Doig aren’t thought to be their first-choice target.

Mitchell is under contract at Selhurst Park until [2025](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/tyrick-mitchell/profil/spieler/730893) and ended the season as [first-choice at left-back](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/tyrick-mitchell/leistungsdaten/spieler/730893) under Roy Hodgson, at the expense of Patrick van Aanholt. The 21-year-old is currently valued at [£4.5m](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/tyrick-mitchell/profil/spieler/730893) and has made [24](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/tyrick-mitchell/leistungsdaten/spieler/730893) senior appearances for the club to date.

### Palace fans react

[@CPFCtransfersHQ](https://twitter.com/cpfctransfershq/status/1398587921796579331?s=21) shared the Gunners’ interest in Mitchell on Twitter on Saturday lunchtime.

This is what these Palace supporters had to say in reply, with one describing the full-back as ‘priceless’.

**“Tyrick is priceless in my mind. Not sure he has the potential to play for the top 6 but is most definitely a prem player so why sell? It’s a free left back for the next 10 years. If he’s not gonna play at some higher level we never have a need to sell him”**

**“£60m should do it. Never like selling youngsters but this is what Cat 1 can do for us. They break into our first team, do well and get sold for tonnes to “bigger” clubs. Hopefully during that time we can improve as a team and It’s sustainability. Promote Hannam and give him a go”**
