# Crystal Palace: Fans react to Benteke update

**Turkish giants Fenerbahce have reportedly held positive talks with Crystal Palace striker Christian Benteke.**

That’s according to [Turkish outlet Takvim](https://www.takvim.com.tr/spor/2021/04/05/fenerbahce-transferde-buyuk-oynuyor-hedef-hem-marega-hem-de-benteke/4), which, as to be expected, has had plenty of Eagles fans talking on social media.

Benteke, who is [11 appearances shy of reaching 150 for Palace](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/christian-benteke/leistungsdaten/spieler/50201), is [out of contract at the end of the season](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/christian-benteke/profil/spieler/50201).

The 30-year-old has featured regularly for Roy Hodgson during the current campaign, though, making [26](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/christian-benteke/leistungsdaten/spieler/50201) appearances in all competitions.

The Belgian is thought to be on a whopping [£120,000-a-week](https://www.spotrac.com/epl/crystal-palace/christian-benteke-15494) in London, and it seems as if he could be making the move to Turkey in the summer on a free transfer.

Benteke has also been [linked](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/14457030/benteke-crystal-palace-galatasaray-transfer/) with Galatasaray, but it seems as if Fenerbahce are looking to pip their rivals to a deal.
