# Crystal Palace: Fans react to Callum McGregor links

**Crystal Palace are interested in a move for Celtic midfielder Callum McGregor, according to French outlet [Homme du Match](https://www.hommedumatch.fr/articles/exclus-hdm/mercato-callum-mcgregor-celtic-en-partance-pour-crystal-palace_2576319).**

And, as to be expected, a number of Eagles and Hoops fans have been reacting to the links on social media.

[Homme du Match](https://www.hommedumatch.fr/articles/exclus-hdm/mercato-callum-mcgregor-celtic-en-partance-pour-crystal-palace_2576319) claim that Palace are planning to test Celtic’s resolve with a bid in the region of £7m for the Scotland international following an initial enquiry.

McGregor has been an ultimate professional at Celtic Park since [2013](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/callum-mcgregor/profil/spieler/120977) and has racked up [332](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/callum-mcgregor/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/120977) appearances in green and white during that time, scoring [54](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/callum-mcgregor/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/120977) times and registering [64](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/callum-mcgregor/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/120977) assists.

He was named Celtic’s new club [captain](https://news.stv.tv/sport/callum-mcgregor-named-as-celtics-new-club-captain?top) by manager Ange Postecoglou earlier this summer, succeeding Scott Brown, but it seems as if Patrick Vieira is keen on bringing the [£6.3m-rated](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/callum-mcgregor/profil/spieler/120977) 28-year-old to Selhurst Park.
