# Crystal Palace: Fans react to Christian Benteke update

**Plenty of Crystal Palace fans have been giving their thoughts to the latest update regarding striker Christian Benteke on social media**

According to [Turkish outlet Fanatik](https://www.fanatik.com.tr/iste-bentekenin-fenerbahceye-imza-atacagi-tarih-2218035), cited by [Sports Witness](https://sportwitness.co.uk/club-want-deal-crystal-palace-man-sorted-euros-manager-planning-intervene-talks/), Fenerbahce are determined to arrange a deal for the forward before the European Championships.

Benteke, described as [‘fantastic’ by teammate Jordan Ayew last year](https://www.tribalfootball.com/articles/crystal-palace-matchwinner-ayew-deflects-praise-to-benteke-4317177), is [out of contract at Selhurst Park over the coming months](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/christian-benteke/profil/spieler/50201).

The recent [report](https://sportwitness.co.uk/club-want-deal-crystal-palace-man-sorted-euros-manager-planning-intervene-talks/) signals that all signs point towards a Selhurst Park exit this summer, with the Belgian not short of potential suitors.

He’s on [£120,000-a-week](https://www.spotrac.com/epl/crystal-palace/christian-benteke-15494) with the Eagles, so his possible exit could be huge in terms of the club then potentially using that money on younger additions.

However, it seems as if a number of Palace supporters don’t want to see him go.
