Southgate, who [came through the Palace youth system](https://www.cpfc.co.uk/information/academy/) and spent seven years as a professional at Selhurst Park, guided England to their first major [final since 1966 after a 2-1 semi-final win](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51198755) over Denmark at Wembley on Wednesday night at Euro 2020.

Southgate picked up the ball in his own half, advanced upfield and unleashed an unstoppable strike in front of the Palace faithful, which is available to view [here](https://twitter.com/CPFC/status/1413052613487206407).
